If your Air Conditioning/Exhaust Systems are not at the recommended CFM’s (the measurement of air that comes from the Air Conditioning Unit according to the size of the unit), then your hospital will not have the correct amount of air changes in the room per hour. By cleaning the unit and ductwork, you will minimize contamination of bacteria and airborne pathogens. This will also reduce allergy symptoms that travel through the ductwork. If you have a dirty coil in your air conditioning unit, you probably have up to 95% inefficient airflow which will stop the transfer of air/heat off of the coil. When your air ducts are clogged with dirt and debris, your energy bill goes up. Keeping the unit and ductwork clean will save you money on energy costs. |
